COURSE AIMS
To improve student IT skills
To enhance interpersonal, communication and life skills.
To improve literacy and numeracy skills.
To increase knowledge of the world of work and career options.
To enable student to continue along the path of lifelong learning via Post Leaving Certificate Qualification.
WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM THE COURSE?
Students wishing to access the course as a “stepping stone” to further education, training and the world of work.
Students whose career path is yet unclear
Students who accessed learning support at second level or those with special educational needs.
Students who complete the Leaving Certificate Applied Programme and wish to continue their education.

Computer Applications (Database, Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Graphics, E-mail, Internet)
ECDL Modules
Work Experience
Communications
Health Related Fitness
Health and Safety at Work
Personal and Interpersonal Skills
Business Calculations/Mathematics
Food and Nutrition
Personal Care: Grooming and Presentation
Drama
Course content will be based on student needs, interests and abilities. Individual module selection will be determined by the requirements of the majority of the class.
QUALIFICATIONS
Students will be prepared for as FETAC Level 5 modules
