Piper's Hill College

Cricket

In Piper's Hill we have had a cricket team since 2010. Cricket is a fun game that anyone can play and caters for students of all ranges of abilities.

Training usually starts in January or early February and takes place once a week on our astro pitch or in our sports hall if the weather is bad. Our team(s) compete in Leinster Schools' competitions. The competition has a league format catering for teams from 1st Year and 2nd Year, as well as a Junior and Senior League teams; typically a team would play 4 or 5 games in a season. Games are played in the months of April and May, with our home games being played at Halverstown Cricket Club out in Brannockstown. We encourage as many as possible to get involved and to try it out. Anyone who would like to find out more about getting involved should speak to Mr. Byrne or email him at lbyrne@phcol.ie.
