Teaching & Learning Club

In Piper's Hill College, we value greatly the expertise, skills and experience of our teaching staff. Our staff are all lifelong learners and recognise the importance of continually developing and improving our skills and expertise. There is a great emphasis put on peer collaboration and learning from each other. We are firm believers that through collaborative learning we can share and develop the excellent teaching and learning practices within the school. Each month we host a Teaching and Learning Club for teachers.

This year has also seen the development of a Teaching and Learning Blog on our school website where teachers and students can record and discuss their ideas and experiences throughout the year. You can follow our journey at

Teaching, Learning and Assessment (google.com)

Our staff at Pipers Hill College are extremely motivated to engage with life long learning and a large number of our teachers have participated in the TL21 programme. The programme promotes innovative practice and professional learning communities in post-primary schools. As part of their involvement in the project, teachers worked on improving the use of success criteria in the teaching and learning practices at Pipers Hill College. The following resource was developed to support teachers to use success criteria in their practice:
