The Yellow Flag Programme is a national initiative that supports schools to become more inclusive, celebrate diversity, and actively tackle racism. It guides schools through eight practical steps which include staff training, setting up a diversity committee, reviewing school policies, and developing an anti-racism code to ensure that every student and family feels valued and respected.
The programme helps create a safer, more positive, and respectful school environment. It also builds awareness among all students as understanding differences leads to respect and helps reduce prejudice and bullying.
As part of our Yellow Flag journey, we have held many activities such as Sports Against Racism workshops, celebrated Intercultural Week, invited guest speakers on a range of important topics, worked with local community members and businesses and highlighted awareness days throughout the school to keep inclusion and equality at the heart of our school life.
